Happy New Year

All year long I have been writing here and there how fast the time flies...and I was right (I'm always right but that's a different story)...another New Year's Eve (don't get me wrong when I say 'another New Year's Eve'....what I mean is that it's another eighteenth New Year's Eve in my life lol). I'm one of those people who don't really like this time of the year...not that I get into a pessimistic mood, but I'm not excessively happy either. I'm not into making new year resolutions so at the end of the year I'm not mad at myself that I didn't do what I planned lol.

This year has been way different from all the previous ones (wow, what a deep thought)....I know it sounds silly, but it was. So many things happened...and they are all things that I will keep in my mind till the end of my life....coz how can you forget the time when one of your biggest dreams comes true?...2008 means so many new things, new job, new people, new friends for life, new experiences, new places and lots of moments to cherish.

Can't end this year without thanking those special people who have been with me this year (and previous years as well in some cases). Thanks a lot for the times we spent together, the times we laughed, the times we fought coz that gave us a chance to make up later on ;), thanks for the support and for the feeling that there's always someone I may ask for help. You guys mean a lot, you know that.

Wish all of you a very happy 2009 with many moments to cherish.

I kinda lack inspiration lately....don't want to write about Christmas because I'm sure we all have enough of it in the shops and in the streets. Not that it's bad, far from it. But when you go to the supermarket and before you're done with your shopping you have to listen to 'Last Christmas' several times you kinda feel like running away, at least I do.

On the other hand, my town is so nicely decorated, all trees covered with lights and it looks fantastic when you go for a walk in the evening (hmm just for the record, evening here starts soon after 4 pm ).

OK OK this isn't really that way. I admit that I don't really mind listening to those songs. Yesterday I went shopping to a huge department store and was just mad coz I didn't buy anything for myself. And for a shopoholic like I am it's a tragedy.

I'm planning to prepare Christmas cards for a few friends today so if you've been good then expect to get one soon. And I guess I'm expecting a card from you too :)
Coming back to the main subject which was the lack of inspiration....lol. I was looking for some nice pics online. Since we have no snow this lovely winter and everything looks dark and pretty depressing I wanted something colourful and bright. Here it is. Hope you find it charming like I do (and like I am hehehe).
